Research and Activation

Through our research, which began as a project at Harvard Business School, Talerang has identified leadership and work-readiness as a key issue across college graduates in India. Our team has visited close to a hundred campuses in India and conducted interviews as well as surveys to better understand the work-readiness gap. Students surveyed (~60%) don’t feel ready for a front-office job, close to 50% don’t have anyone to go to for advice on their life path, and over 50% of students do not do a work internship before they graduate.

Research at several top organizations in India also revealed an urgent need to increase the work-readiness of entry-level talent.

We plan to use the research we have done at Talerang to build a movement around work-readiness. We need to activate students, colleges and organizations around this issue and work together as a nation to solve this crisis.
